With deep roots in the solar industry, our entire operation is powered by the sun, meaning we have no electric bill tied to the growing or winemaking process. This allows us to invest more into what truly matters: crafting premium wines at a more approachable price.
Every grape is estate-grown on our family ranch and farmed organically with unwavering attention to detail. ABOUT JEFFREY ADKINS
Jeffrey Adkins, owner of Adkins Family Vineyards, has built a life defined by hard work, vision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Raised in the small town of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Jeffrey began his journey by serving in the U.S. Air Force. After his service, his entrepreneurial spirit took flight—he explored careers as a photographer and, eventually, a world-class salesman after moving to California. Trained by legendary motivator Zig Ziglar, Jeffrey honed his craft, becoming a top-tier salesman and launching several successful ventures.
In the mid-1980s, Jeffrey met his wife, Jona, and together they built both a family and a future. They are proud parents to two children, Jenna and Jake, who have been by their side through every chapter of their journey.

Jeffrey found his business niche in home efficiency, establishing companies focused on windows, doors, insulation, and ultimately solar energy. His solar company became one of the top providers in California, and this success opened the door to new ventures. When the opportunity arose to acquire the Sheldon Inn Restaurant—located next to his solar company’s corporate office—Jeffrey embraced the challenge. Though new to the restaurant world, he leaned on trusted friends and industry veterans, including a maître d’ with 25 years at Morton’s Steakhouse and Aron Rounds, who has served as General Manager from the start. Together, they transformed Sheldon Inn into a celebrated dining destination recognized among the best restaurants in the country.
Building on that same dedication to quality, Jeffrey and his son Jake launched Adkins Family Vineyards’ tasting room. Today, they continue to create one of the region’s premier wine and hospitality experiences—a lasting legacy rooted in family, passion, and a pursuit of excellence.
